Initiated by a serendipitous moment, a rubbing was collected from the welcoming plaque located at The Liberty Bell Center in Philadelphia, PA, which describes the story and symbolism of the bell. Coincidentally, the phrase “for a better tomorrow” is the slogan for The Institute for Personal Development & Functional Medicine in the greater Chicago region.
This project considers the potency of such a phrase, its ability to appeal as a personal message that can ignite hope. Similarly to the iconic status of the Liberty Bell which has spread from the United States to around the globe as a symbol of freedom and liberty for all.
